Les Vahsholtz – My Journey With ALS

On January 9, 2012, Les’ life, and the lives of his wife Carole, and his family were changed forever when KU Med confirmed the diagnosis of ALS.  The first place he went was to his church, Christ Lutheran, to help him and Carole get through the shock.  He said that “his Christian faith, family and friends provide the strength to face the challenges this terminal disease daily presents to us.”

Les’ journey with ALS was rather short; he passed away December 8th, 2012.  His website, including his thoughts, prayers, notes and journal, stay online, as he hoped to help or comfort those who battle ALS while a cure is sought.
